In my dreams, you were mine

And I am yours

So, let me dream a little longer

Let me dream of you

O starlight, star bright

Wishing upon that star on this starry night

Make my wish come true tonight

Let her beauty shine bright

In my dreams, you loved me too

Feelings couldn’t have been more true

Don’t wake me from this slumber

My world will turn into somber

Just let me dream a little

Let me dream of you

We’d hold each other tight

Making love under the moonlit night

Our soul intertwine

Body and mind as one

Hi! My pen name is Joe Valentine or JV for short. I started writing when I was in high school over 20 years ago. I haven't had the opportunity to pursue my love of writing for quite some time and I thought I'd try to start it up again. A few things I enjoy is poetry, mostly Shakespeare and most of his Tragic plays. I often feel the words speak to me every time I read them. I also enjoy reading other great poets with the likes of Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, Maya Angelou to name a few.
